There's More to Life, There's More to You, There's More That Meets the Eye...
My favorite ska album, well not just ska, my favorite album of any genre of music, is Keasbey Nights as performed by Catch 22. I like Streetlight's version, the added horn sections/solos are great, I just think it sounds too produced (I'm not putting down Streetlight, they're an amazing band Everything Goes Numb is up there with my favorite albums, I just like Kalnoky's original effort on Keasbey).
What I liked about the original was it's raw energy and unpolished-ness. They put everything into it, and I feel that every time I listen to it (which is a lot). It may be hard to understand Tomas at times, he sings so damn fast, but I know all the lyrics by heart now. Speaking of them, the lyrics are so heartfelt that sometimes they make you want to cry (especially As the Footsteps Die Out Forever), and at the same time, the beat is so catchy it makes you want to dance. It's a true work of art.
