@SarahD: It could be. Depends on if one lived close to a metro area or not. But the war had us divided. Those, not old enough to vote were being sent to fight in a strange land. The music reflected the times- and the attitudes. And the youth ruled the US. They set the tone politically and socially for what was to come and how the times would be remembered. Never before have the youth of a nation set the doctrine of the tomes as we did then.
It was a special time. And will more than likely never happen again.
