Because if I don’t know the answer, while you may consider it a stupid question, if it’s knowledge that I want or need, it would be stupid NOT to ask it

In order to not discourage those that would ask questions. Sure there are some questions that are at the very least puzzling but I never want to encourage people to not ask questions. Just use good judgement. But then again in this day and age that may be asking too much.

@Moodswings There are 171,476 English words in current use (unless I forgot one) and so there are 864,596,308,417,753,067,776 four-letter phrases, but not all words can appear at all positions, so I'm calling it a billion billion! (And certainly, not all questions are four letter ones, but I'm pretending that most questions can be reduced into four basic sentence elements).

It'll be a while before SW has asked them all, especially when people ask the same ones over and over again!

There definitely are stupid questions. I have been asked a number of them, and I have probably asked a few, myself.
