Should USA increase military spending now that North Korea has 46th military budget?

The U.S. military budget is $824.6 billion. That's the budget for Fiscal Year 2018
North Korea $6 billion
We need to have an overwhelmingly powerful military if we want to survive as a country. We could have been Switzerland, but we chose our path. Now we are committed to it. We need to be able to nuke the universe into oblivion, and we need conventional superiority as well. Overwhelming and redundant military superiority and preparedness.
@sogdianrock Who is hitting anyone over the head?

sogdianrock perhaps a knee jerk reaction I think north korea can be dealt with but I do not think they would ever have the nerve to use this in a first strike scenario

Absolutely not,and what is spent on black budgets projects dwarfs the official figure. We as a species have one way forward, and its not the one those unfit for ofice are leading us in.

hi Noahkahol
haha yes you do! That is called risk assessment.
I mean that is a very good analogy! You are beginning to get a sense of proportion. Kim is the "guy living in a cardboard box with his roll of ducktape".
Just wait for the rain and his box will melt.
Best wishes
