I Love My Car

My Pride, And Joy... My car is by far my most prized possession. It's a 2011, Toxic Orange, Dodge Challenger SXT, and I love it dearly. It's a sexy looking car, and it's a blast to drive. Especially on the open highway, road trips are always a joy with this car. It may not have the legendary Hemi V8, under the hood, (unfortunately), but the 3.6L Penastar V6, still packs 305Hp, and 268 foot pounds of torque. Still plenty of power to get me to where I need to go in style. And although it is a tad slower, than it's muscle car competitors, I always say "There may be faster cars, but few will outmatch its beauty". Sure, gunning it off the lights, and driving it faster than the law will forgive is fun in all, but my favorite thing about my car, is the amount of attention it draws, and the amount of heads that turn when I drive past them. While there are other Dodge Challengers where I live, they're aren't many that have the same shade of orange as mine. "Toxic Orange", is very rare where I live, which makes people stare even more. I've received countless compliments/comments, from others, and a lot of them are the same. like: Does that thing have a Hemi? (You already know the answer to that). Or "So does this car get you laid a lot"? No it doesn't at all, but that's not because of the car, that's because it's me driving it, I could be driving a Lamborghini, and it still wouldn't help, but who cares, that's not what I bought it for. Or "What's the fastest you've gone?" A lot faster than the law will forgive, we'll leave it at that. And though the comments/compliments get a little repetitive at times, I always cherish those moments. I'll share a few of my favorite moments with you: There was one day where I was driving through a grocery store parking lot, and watched as everyone's head turned as I drove past them, it kind of looked like people doing "The Wave" at a football game, except they were turning their heads towards my car as I drove past them. Another moment, was when I was driving past a Boston Pizza, with my window open, and I heard a guy who was standing outside the door say "Whoa, that's a nice Challenger", it made me smile for a second, then I pulled into a nearby parking spot to have a quick smoke, I didn't dare smoke in my car and ruin the interior. That same guy came up to me, to compliment me on the car, and while we were talking, all of his buddies came out to ask what he was doing. His response was "Checking this awesome Challenger, man", soon all his friends were looking at my car too, afterwards, they invited me in to play pool, and have a few beers with them. Another moment, (last one I promise), was at a car wash. I was washing my car, and in the bay across from me there was this other guy with his "decked out" Honda Civic, revving the sh*t out the engine, trying to show off that cheap aftermarket muffler, he had on it. Of course nobody was paying attention to him (why would they, it's a Honda Civic for crying out loud). Meanwhile, all I was doing was drying my car, and I had two people telling me that they thought my car was nice. Sorry Civic owner, but if you wanted attention for your car, you probably should've got something that's, you know, not a rice burner. Yup, I love my car, I keep it as clean as I can, give it the best oil I can buy, and park it away from everyone else. I probably treat my car better than I treat most people. Some may say that I boast too much about my car, and maybe I do, but in my defense, my car is the only thing I have to brag about, so ya, I am going to enjoy it in every way I can.
Wow that ended up being a really long story, oh well.

As a fellow automotive enthusiast, I thoroughly respect your dodge challenger and admire their majestic beauty, styling and speed. However I just ask that you respect imports just the same. I understand that unfortunately there are a lot of tools and dou**ebags running around in riced out cheap hondas, though please don't make a generalization calling us "rice burners". I've built my RSX from the ground up, bored out the engine and built it, boosted and dyno tuned it with my own two hands, and I leave mustangs and camaros in the dust all day at the track. Now before I sound like one of those arrogant idiots running their mouth, I'm going to stop. I've said my piece. I just ask that you appreciate and respect imports just as much as us import guys appreciate and respect American Muscle. Thank you.
