Have you ever wanted to attack your own child?

One time one of my best friends told me that her mom called her out for doing something really stupid and then my best friend made a smart remark and her mom almost attacked her. Her dad had a hold her back.
Why would any parent want to attack their own child? I swear parents are so violent. Frankly mothers seem more violet and way too feisty. I think kids are more scared of their mothers
