I Hate The Way This World Has Become

This afternoon I was reading a very interesting article where the writer stated the idea that postmodernism is dying and we are moving towards a new kind of authoritarism. The article is in Spanish but I share the link for those who can read or try to translate it:

https://disidentia.com/jorge-javier-vazquez-o-el-fin-de-la-posmodernidad/

It is about a discussion a very famous tv presenter had with a local celebrity who dared to criticise the way Spanish government has dealt with Covid-19.

According to the article, one of the basic pillars of post-modernism,moral relativism, is retreating. The idea that all opinions are valid is not accepted any more. There is a good and a bad side. Only the right opinions can be said. Welcome to the new intolerance and authoritarism.

The most dangerous point about this new authoritarism is that it is not based on arguments.Their ideas are right because they are morally better/they are oppressed. You cannot fight these new authoritarians using arguments. It useless to discuss them using words like 'contradiction' or 'hypocrisy'. The language of logic does not work.

These new authoritarians will not need a Communist Manifesto or a Mein Kampf to support their behaviour and silencing those opposing them. They feel oppressed, that's all that counts.

What to do? Suggestions are accepted.

@Stereoguy It reminds me of the totalitarian societies in the 20th century. Especially the Cultural Revolution in China where they were tearing down monuments too.
