And that's why I carry a gun everywhere I go. Smartest thing I ever did was get a carry permit.

My wife carries too, makes me feel a lot better when she takes our two small kids places, the world is fucked up and you never know what could happen, better to be able to defend yourself than to rely on someone else to protect you

I hear you, good on you! Glad to know there's some sane people left. I would really love to carry a gun as well. I just don't know where to start besides getting the proper training etc.

In my state you take an 8 hour class, demonstrate you can handle and fire the weapon, then have the sheriffs fingerprint you, pay a fee and the the state bureau of investigations does a lengthy background check on you and about 3 months later you get your permit
