I rather like the idea mooted in the book The five people you meet in Heaven. Mitch Albom's story tells of a loving couple who work at a fairground all their lives. After she dies. Her husband grows older and weaker with time. On his last day on earth, he continues his routine until an accident sees him grasp the hands of a child in peril. He dies. On his way to Heaven, he meets four characters from his past and must come to terms with what he did to them at the time he met them. Ultimately he grows younger as the story progresses. Until at the end, he is a young man again. Working with his young wife at the fairground where they first met. It's his happy memory. I like that idea! Living out eternity within a happy memory from your past.
