Why am I so afraid and ASHAMED to embrace who I am?

What's so bad about you that you shouldn't? Probably something to think about.

Because you don't like it and you're subconsciously connecting it with bad memories? Just a guess tho

Because someone, somewhere has told you it’s wrong and you believed them.

Because society doesn't accept authenticity

Don’t be afraid or ashamed....you are you, and you're the only one you can be. Be the best you that you can, and embrace who you are. You are insecure because you’ve been told that you shouldn’t be the way you are, and you believed what you were told.....but you shouldn’t try to be someone you’re not because of what someone else thinks.

May be you have to explore you own insecurities

Upbringing can play a huge part. Only you will know yourself well and discover the person you are.

Because you stepped on a snail once and can still hear it’s screams
