Will there ever be a time when being gay gets boring?

What I mean by this is, if acceptance continues on like this, it will never be an issue?

I just hope I'm around when it's a non issue 馃寛

It'll always be a issue Acceptance hasn't gone very far yeah for gay's but looks at trans folks only so many people understand. LGBT issues still have a long road ahead and a long fight. It won't stop, maybe it'll lesson but they'll always be bigots.

I agree, although yes some countries have it a lot worse. My heart goes out ever time I read a story on transgender folk and their struggles. There needs to be more understanding, more education, things need to move on, and although they are, I'm finding it too slow...sadly...@ZoneingOut

@SW-User Nah, give it a couple generations. Do you remember how fast your childhood went? because this will go just as quickly.

I wonder if in some cases its the time to move towards that, like there is obviously so much to do around the world still of course, there are places it is dangerous to be gay. I just mean there is an adamant percentage of people who I don't think will ever accept it and I'd rather leave them to it than waste breath arguing. I feel like there has been a change in perception, so much so that I feel comfortable to mention I have a girlfriend without giving it a second thought. I do get the impression that making too much of a thing about how ok your business or whatever is about people's personal lives can have the opposite effect. Equality should mean same-sex couples and all lbqta+ people are treated no differently, not singled out or patronised. Am I rambling? Does this make any sense? 馃槄

Your making perfect sense. My daughter is gay and although she doesn't have a girlfriend (as yet) I wonder how easy it will be for me to say to others in conversation, that she does. How will they react, will it be a different outcome depending on whom I'm talking with? Just some of the things running through my mind....it should not be an issue....and whilst I'm very proud of her, it's not the same as having a 'straight' child.......but it should be no different@Emele
