I Am A Grand Parent
It's 4:26am. Just finished feeding baby X. He ate more than usual this time around. He takes a little fun out of things though. He tends to burp on his own. I put him up on my shoulder anyway. He's not getting out of bum pats and back rubs...
Jojo, and Nicole were both 2 am feeders. I remember the exhaustion now. It kinda feels like yesterday for those moments.
Now that I'm in my Old Man stage, 4am doesn't even phase me. It's completely within my natural order of things. It would be cool if he keeps this schedule. Then I'll get to spend time with him everyday before work. Too much earlier and he'd be asleep when I get up. Any later and I'd need to be getting ready for work.
Anyway, this morning things worked out perfectly. He's napping again already. He's resting peacefully in his swing. He loves that thing.
No pictures however. Sorry, but X doesn't like bright lights and the flashes make him cringe and fuss a bit.
I'll give it a bit before bringing him back to his bassinet. I don't really need to be in the shower until 5:10 or so.....
