Anyone in the Portland, Oregon area that can help?

My niece and I have agreed to share a house. She is looking for a 3 bedroom house (she has a 13 year old daughter; there would be 3 of us in residence) somewhere near Portland in a rural area. We aren't rich so it might have to be a fixer-upper. I have a pretty good credit rating and we can pass any kind of background checks/drug tests etc. Any ideas?
