A great question as I've never thought about it.i guess mostly as I've no real desire to have children as yet anyway.
But as you've made me think of it I probably would for some things yes but nothing as much I get. Sulusuwakis, I don't remember being "punished". I think I was brainwashed at a very early age to not disappoint my parents. They would just talk softly to me. My dad would call me Sunshine and I just knew he was sad.

Mum is big believer that academically u should be top at like so many Korean mums she has little respect for physical and sporting achievements also she only believes in classical music and art work so I fail in lots ways in her eyes

A big part of mums culture yes ,I don't say mine as I've grown up under mums culture fully since dad died when I was young but in U.K. Not Korea plus like all people do she's said things are cultural etc but some for sure some are just her own ways and beliefs too

In mums eyes there's like only one place that's first,there's no room for anything but that.so I'm the big let down as I'm not great academically but I am in other things that she dosent judge as important
