In the wake of yesterday’s shooting there has been a vast amount of people having to state that the shooter was a white male. However if you have taken even the slightest time out and researched the tragedy you would learn that the shooter, Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa is of Middle Eastern heritage. But this shouldn’t matter. The race of a person shouldn’t matter in any situation however the people who promote this always seem to be the first to call out of there person is white and or a male.

Do you think we should progress forward from making everything about race and more about the responsibility of the individual at hand?

Should the people spreading false information apologize for doing so?

I think it's good to 'fess up when you mess up. Part of being a real man or woman, or indeed (in my eyes) a respected company....

Yesterday, some idiot on here was doing the whole 'Trump' rubbish; stating that there were no shootings under Trump yet many (?!?) under Biden and Obama....when I told him, actually, there were 102 + I heard nothing back...

I am still waiting for a 'Ok, I got it wrong. Sorry for saying that'.....but I doubt I ever will....*sigh*

When it comes to misleading the public, especially with this race thing, I think that legal action should be taken....

Just my thoughts...

people are allowed to be wrong. @SammyJo

@Spoiledbrat Indeed, but they should have the dignity to say 'ooops! Got it wrong.', shouldn't they? I know that I do...I don't expect everyone to know everything....and I don't know everything myself....which is why we come onto places like SW to educate ourselves....
