I Am Against All Forms Of Abuse
Okay, so I just read a long, detailed thingie about Scientology, it's history, it's tenants, and how the organization operates. I'm now officially convinced that Scientology is the worst kind of criminal cult. The creator of Scientology originally tried to sell his whole philosophy to the psychology community, but they weren't buying his brand of crazy - so as part of his whole Scientology thing, he preached that psychology was a self serving field that twisted everything in order to bleed their clients of their money. Scientology now has entire organizations focused on directly opposing psychology and preaching total rejection of it.
Do you see what he did there? The psychological community rejected him, personally, and so he vilified every psychologist, accusing them of doing *exactly* what he and his cult actually do, and then he got tens of thousand of people to buy into his story and act on it, to the detriment of the entire psychological community. They've funneled hundreds of millions of dollars and tens of thousand of man hours toward trying to do as much damage as possible to the field of psychology as a whole. Does that story sound familiar? *cough* Hitler *cough*. Yeah, I know - someone on the internet is using Hitler to make his point, how original. But I'm sorry, when a malignant narcissist really does the *exact* same psychological projection ba<x>sed vilification of an entire group of people that Hitler did - literally, the exact same ego-protective psychological mechanism, as part of the exact same psychological condition (malignant narcissism) - and then gets tens of thousands of people to buy into it - then I'm sorry, but if it walks like a duck and it talks like a Hitler, then it's a bloody Hitler-duck.
So yeah - I now officially lump Scientology in with the KKK, ISIS, and Al Qaeda as truly, irredeemably evil organizations that are enemies to the entire human race. I suggest that anyone who's interested (and has the stomach for it) go and read up on what Scientology is really about.
