I Love My Brother More Than He'll Ever Know

At times he probably things I’m kinda a smothering, annoying big sister, but I love him to death. 🤗❤️ We always got along and played well together as kids. There’s a five year age difference, so I don’t think he remembers a lot of things about himself from his very early childhood. Like when he was barely old enough to walk I use to calm him down and reassure him I’d make sure the water wouldn’t get in his eyes, because he was scared of that back then. I’d cup my fingers around his forehead to wash his hair. He must have gotten soap in his eye once.

We’re not exactly not close now, but he’s just busy a lot and we work opposite shift schedules, which I understand. My close relationship with my brother is probably the closest thing I’ll ever know to what being a mother is like. As a matter of fact, I just had a mom-like moment not long ago that I just had to tell him I probably bug him sometimes because I love him immensely and I want him to know I care. 😅 He’s still kinda three to me sometimes in my heart, the way I see him. He gets it now though, after I explained it to him.
