So I found this guy on instagram that I was close friends with in highschool. Would it be weird to follow him despite being years since we've last talked? It probably would be a bit weird...

I don't think so. social media has made it possible to re-connect with people you have known and still would like to know how their life is going even if it has been many, many years since you really talked and have not been friends with technically.
