Do you make your excuses to leave a text conversation?

I never have. Unless it was a question I just came back to the conversation whenever I could. But recently I鈥檝e noticed people signing off like they鈥檙e ending a real life conversation or telling me someone came to the door so they disappeared for a bit.
I mean I wasn鈥檛 dragged up and I鈥檓 generally a polite person but I find it a bit odd. It鈥檚 not like life isn鈥檛 continuing until the other person gets back to you..why do I need to make an excuse if I don鈥檛 reply straightaway??

@SW-User i havent had phone service in a long time i meant strangers on text 馃槃 I texted my mom on fb and talked to my grandpa on my hub's phone but that's family ..

I also leave people on read...especially if they send me something 馃敒 and I'm with the kids 馃槄
