I Hate Broken Promises
I would rather you tell me you love me and it not be true, or only half true, or it just not be true at the moment...<br /> than to be promised something that you're not going to do.
Don't placate me.
And incidentally I don't even break promises to my kids if it can at all be helped. That's how they know me -- 'the one that doesn't break promises and never lies to us'. So when people promise me things they aren't going to do, I can't even yell that they're treating me like a child -- I wouldn't treat a child like that.
