Any chef's here? Pls tell about your work. [I'd Rather Get To Know You Than Small Talk]

Not a chef, but worked very briefly as a sous chef, and did catering. It is grueling work. A chef is more into the managing end of things...does ordering of food, calls out the orders, and does food selection at market. A chef will often direct the activities of the sous chefs, and will make sure everything comes out ready at the same time. He or she may work on specialty sauces, etc, and will be in charge of his or her own specialty dishes.

The owner determines the menu.

Grease in the air above most cooking items, a staff that is almost always hung over, I have to ride peoples asses to clean as they go.
