I Think Eyes Are the Windows to the Soul
Yesterday I was sitting in my rocking chair on the porch and my eyes were wondering around at all the beauty about me. Feeling blessed. I begin to focus afar at the other mountain and I drifted off into.. space. You know.. like when you stare at one fixed spot as your brain goes blank. ;-)
All of a sudden my ears became fixed on all that was surrounding me. I heard the roar of the creek down the holler. We have had so much rain.
I heard someone's... "binging" as they split their logs with a wedge and hammer.
I could hear all the different birds singing their songs. From a screaming Hawk in the distance far above. To a Chick-a-dee and their song sounds just like their name. I could hear the Morning Doves talking to one another and a close by House Wren angry about something.

My oh my what our ears can do for our souls!!!
