They do take shit from some. They have an innate obedience to recognized authority. And if another predator or rival pack proves a greater threat they'll likely avoid them aft all cost or surrender their territory.
What's admirable about them is they always put the pack's well being first. No selfish goals. Always the greater good for the family. They even die alone, far from the den so as to avoid attracting other predators or illness.
They're the perfect species. Superior in almost every way to humans.
