So many thoughts pass through my mind [I Write What I Feel]
So many words
And yet, when it comes to writing them down, putting them to paper, or speaking them, they all fall flat.
Only in my mind are they organized in the right way, only there do they say what I mean to say.
Once, it was remarked that I had a way with words, but I sure don't feel like I do.
Most often I'm left with the feeling that words are ill attempts at capturing who we are.
That they don't come close to saying what we truly mean.
Then again, how could they? They're just words. Constructs for communication. Who's meaning can be interpreted in any number of ways.
But... time and again, we use them in the hopes that they will inform others of who we are, and what we think and feel.
Knowing all along that those words are but cheap immatations for what we really mean.
