I Do Intermittent Fasting

I have been having health issues for ages now. I was on a health related forum and someone suggest intermittent fasting and a book called "The Obesity Code" By Dr. Jason Fung

Now I'm not a professional of any kind this is just my own personal journey towards better health.

So my weight has gotten so out of control. I've had hormonal weight gains, bad eating advice, stress eating (husband's cheating, among other things).

So right now I've started fasting 16:8 every other day. What that means, is fasting for 16 hours and eating for 8. If I finish my dinner at 9, that means the majority of my fasting is done while I'm sleeping. And I don't eat until 1 in the afternoon. I can drink black tea or water, or whatever.

In addition, I'm doing walking aerobics, belly dancing and yoga. So far so good, I'm getting results. Finally. I've had test after test after test. Doctors shaming me, scolding me. Not believing that I don't eat junk food all the time. GRRRRR

So I'm hoping to put a dent in my health/weight problems.

fasting works. Even going a day or two w/out eating is fine. Unless you have health issues (which a Dr. should clear you of) it won't cause 'abnormal' spikes in your sugar levels to where you'll be sick and/or diabetic. Seriously. Our bodies were designed to go through intermittent episodes or calorie restriction; cave men didn't eat 3 squares a day.

Calorie restriction actually leads to healthier life and more more longevity.

Look up caloric restriction and age.

100% Fact.

well technically I do have health issues. I should get a doctors approval, but I'm not going to because I'm sick and tired of being treated subhuman for being overweight.

so .........

I have blood sugar issues, but as long as I break with a good source of protein, then I should be fine.
