UK government ignored scientists advice for lockdown...

...weeks ago? Hmm. Much as it's disruptive, I'm really starting to wonder if we're going to be able to get through winter in the UK without a national lock-down at some stage.

I'm not sure we'll get through October.

@SW-User Mmm. My guess some weeks ago is we'd be looking at about a month at least, by mid-October if cases needed to be down to allow Christmas to be celebrated. I think the government's (finally) losing popularity, and if Christmas is ruined I think it'll kill them completely. Not that I'd mind that change. Let's see. Hopefully we manage to survive. No guarantees, I think.

It's getting worse everywhere.. France and Spain especially, but even here in Italy although we're not yet in an exponential growth.

I'm not sure the blame is to put 100% on govts. It's just happening what was speculated to happen once temperatures would've started getting lower.

The real tragedy is that they ALL know what they need to do and yet they’re prepared to sacrifice as many as possible rather than change course.
