Do you think having online friends is legit?

Someone said that having online friends isn't much and it's better to meet people irl. But I still think that irl and online friends aren't much of a difference and I still value friendship anyways, anyhow. Well despite people not showing their faces and not knowing how they sound like but still doesn't mean you still can't be friends tho.

I was here on Christmas day. Many came on just to say Merry Christmas. For some of us it was the only greeting we got. They stepped away from their families and festivities to remember their online friends. That's real to me.

@Deadcutie It is hard to believe. I know people online who said they don't have irl friends at all. Even some of them said not even online friends as well.

Yeah that's the thing. Hate to be the only one at one end who's making the effort and the other really isn't. I guess they don't want to go that far for personal reasons I don't know.

I can’t say if it’s legit but I do think that have online friends is better than having no friends at all.I prefer online friends than real life friends because you get to save more money than dealing with real life friends who always want to go out.

thats something thats unclear, you dont really know who the person on the other side is.it does mean your not really friends other wise imaginary friends count as friends.

I would say I depends on the effort your put into that friendship. Some people can be there to talk joke and just listen when you need it the most.
