IRL, you pretty much have to interact with whatever people are there. Online, you can be more selective.

@SmartKat True, but still awfully lucky to meet so many really AMAZING people, I think. When I hear people say "There's no one worth knowing on here" my first reaction is: "I should publish a list." I wouldn't ever do that, of course, but the thought runs through my mind... wonderful people.
