I resigned

Well, the day has come ladies and gentlemen. I have finally left my job. I was working as a Children's Director/Programmer/Social Media Content Manager and Creator/A lot of other bullshit. Sure, they didn't pay me enough. Most people would say that is reason enough to quit. But, that was not my reason. My reason was the toxic environment my boss had created for the entire staff. I could go on and on about her, but for once in my life, I did something for me. I resigned. She was shocked, she cried, she even tried to persuade me to change my mind. I guess what they say is true, "You never know a good thing until it's gone." Well now I am gone.

I finish school within a year, and my experience there will take me very far. I have made connections with the mayor and his wife. I've worked with his wife on many occasions on multiple events. I've even been offered a job by the local newspaper as a journalist. But, I declined. My boyfriend and I decided this is the time I get to focus on me. I will miss my coworkers and the times we shared. They were great. Heck, I'll even miss my boss. But, what I missed most while working there was myself. I lost me. But, now I am going to find the woman I always knew I'd grow to be. It starts now.
