I walk to work every day. It takes me about 10 minutes

Dlrannie · 31-35, F
It depends on where I’m working on any particular day - it can be anything from an hour by train to over 12 hours by plane 🙂
@Dlrannie So, you prefer the variety over a monotonous commute? 😏
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@DreamyCrush Indeed I don’t think I could work in a fixed location on a 9 to 5 basis as it would bore me to death 🙂

Over the last 20-ish years before retiring, I had a round-trip of over 20 miles to a site poorly served by public transport, so normally I drove.

There was a bus-service at one time, and I could go by train if necessary, though the railway-station is some 40 minutes' walk from the works premises.

I was on Flexi-time, and that helped greatly.

About two minutes to walk from my bedroom to my home office most days. I do travel as part of my job requirements and on those days the commute takes much longer, more than 3 hours to get to the airport and then whatever airtime is involved and drive on the other end.
helenS · 36-40, F
@Fungirlmmm But you work predominantly at your home office?
It takes me 15 minutes to drive to work

12-15 minutes by car
40(ish) minute walk

There are a few months in the spring and fall where I walk more often than drive.
SW-User
I drive myself and it can take anywhere from 25-40 minutes depending on how dipshit people are deciding to drive that day.
helenS · 36-40, F
Both. I have a bicycle for short distances, a nice Vespa Primavera to ride into town, and I like traveling on a train.
SteveTomms · 56-60, M
Drive, 40 minutes each way
SteveTomms · 56-60, M
@helenS yes sadly but I don't mind actually - I unwind on the way home....
helenS · 36-40, F
@SteveTomms If there were a train you could at least read something, or meet people.
SteveTomms · 56-60, M
@helenS true and I do like railway journeys. I used to work in London though, where it took an hour to go 4 or 5 miles. After that I don't mind a pleasant drive :-)
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
I drive. 5-10 minutes. I can occasionally walk in summer, and then it takes about 20 minutes

Depends on traffic.

Drive between an HR to one and a half
SW-User
Seven minute bike ride or a 15 minute run if there is snow or ice.
SW-User
About 15 minutes
I drive

Drive, about 30 minutes.
SW-User
5 minute drive
@SW-User Nice!
foggymorning31 · 36-40, F
i take a van for people with disability and it depends on the driver, what route they take and if they have to pick anyone else up. usually about 10 to 15 mins
@foggymorning31 Not bad at all. I'd rather be a passenger than drive myself.
foggymorning31 · 36-40, F
@DreamyCrush i never learned how to drive
Subaru · 46-50, M

@Subaru Wow! Lucky you. ☺️
