Would you work as a news reporter ?

It would depend on the news outlet. I took a job as a reporter back in college and it had its enjoyable moments. Overall, it was a positive experience.

But, I chose not to pursue a career in that field. It's all turned out well.

Currently, hell no. It is an industry in a very bad state. I think being an investigative reporter - a real one with a budget and time - would be a fantastic job, but that's a dying breed.
