Oh definitely. A lot of the time, I wont be able to do anything about it. Sometimes though.... I'll get lucky, which is why I don't give up so easily if I can help it.

Depends on the item in question. Perhaps my need for that item is much more than theirs? It's something that isn't quantifiable.

I don't guilt myself out. If I can help I'm always happy to and if I can't I just say "sorry can't help" I have no regrets

Depends how much they meant to me. Ordinarily I'd feel bad if I couldn't help someone. But if it was a loved one I'd be devastated (and would likely try anyway).
