It isn't an insult or a truth or a fact it is simply and opinion or preference of someone else. Are the majority of people hurt by other peoples opinions? yeah they are but i'm not so i don't care who thinks i'm ugly.

it depends on how it's being used. Almost always though the answer is yes because it's pointing out you find someone unpleasant to look at.
