I only remember parts of dreams.

Tatsumi · 31-35, M
Omfg. Had like 5 paragraphs typed out then back button. -_-

In short, I remember 2-3 dreams per night. Wake up after 4-6 hours, just long enough to write my dreams down, as it helps me remember the longest dreams in the longest REM stages of late sleep. And, important part, I'm going to try audio recording when i wake up, because i won't have to move a lot or stare at a screen that rips me from the dream world too fast. Perhaps you could try that.

I also use mnemonic to sort of program my brain right before i fall asleep that i want to remember my dreams. Very good tool. Works in the waking world too. "I'm gonna crush this interview/date/goal"

I also place importance on my dreams for lucid dreaming or otherwise, which helps me remember them.
Recording would be a great idea. moving too much always does make me forget my dreams so much faster. Searching for pencils in the dark. then when I am actually up I couldn't read it sometimes. Its like I was taking notes in class while I was falling asleep. nothing can be comprehended!

@Lacrimosa: haha. Totally identify with that. Yeah. Could be a lot better. And you Could keep your eyes closed and try to focus on the dream that way. 😄

I normally forget my dreams as soon as I wake up. Even if I wrote them down when I woke up parts of the dream wouldn't get written down because I would've already forgotten parts.
Yeah, that used to happen to me a lot. But the more you write them down, the more your body should get used to remembering them...at least thats what I read on the internet...🤔

I read that too! But I never actually really got that far..
Winterwanderer · 26-30, M
Do your dreams remember you?
Winterwanderer · 26-30, M
I could do that... but I'm not sure I'm committed enough, when I wake up I'm tired & my will is weaker.
@Winterwanderer: Yeah, same. It really does take commitment but once you get into the swing of things and make it a habit I think it would be easier. Maybe one day?
Winterwanderer · 26-30, M
I've done it before, I want to do it again (& eventually lucid dream). I don't doubt I'll take it up sometime.

I write them down when I wake up or I forget them
Winterwanderer · 26-30, M
Remember that feeling
Winterwanderer · 26-30, M
Hahahah, hey, Steve Urkel did it.
@Winterwanderer: hahaha...did he?🤔

Far less than I used to.
Same, i wish I had time to get back into it. Dreams can be pretty awesome sometimes

Right? :-) The amazing ones are SO amazing and exquisitely lucid!🙂
exactly, thats why dreaming, though its so short is sometimes sooo much better than real life. And when I wake it it makes me sad sometimes. Stupid alarm clocks...😖
