Moving into new apartment building with 6 level undergound parking...

Park my car in uncrowded area of level 5 to unload it. At this point I should say that I am American, but I live and work in South Korea.

See white SUV driving slowly and erratically, honking contantly. He goes to level 6. Good. I keep unloading my car. But wait! Now white SUV is back on level 5, still honking constantly. I happen to glance up to see his reverse lights come on and now he's backing up at a parking spot occupied by some of my furniture and ME. NOTE that there are many empty parking spots beside him, also. I don't feel like getting run over so I yell HEY!!!

White SUV stops. Then I hear a man yell "Are You American?"

(I respond Yeah...)

Then he yells, "Then I"m gonna KILL YOU!!!"

I see a 60-ish guy with a full beard hop out of the driver's side of the SUV, little Korean looking lady hops out of the passenger side. From 20 feet away, the smell of alcohol is so strong I think it's going to knock me out...

He continues to threaten to kill me (why?, because I don't feel like getting hit by a drunk driver????) and the Korean lady seems to be trying to calm him down. I try to ignore them both, just taking more stuff out of my car, loading it onto a wheeled cart I had bought specifically to help me move.

Eventually he calms down and parks his car in a different spot. Note that it took him about 20 tries, even with the Korean lady acting as his ground guide. I was seriously starting to wonder if they guy even knew how to drive SOBER...

Now, needless to say, I don't appreciate somebody threatening to kill me. I called the MPs (live just off base, and the SUV had a base sticker) to report drunk driving and assault. I had video, recorded the incident on my cell phone, carefully so he wouldn't see he was being recorded. When they found out where the incident happened, I was told to call 119 (Korea version of 911). So I did. Interpreter helped me report drunk driving and assault. Then Korean authorities told me to call the MPs. I called the MPs (again). The MPs told me they couldn't do anything because it happened off base. And the Korean authorities didn't want to investigate, as it was apparently just Americans involved. (Read: If Americans kill each other, who cares?)
Everyone in my life I’m suspicious on. I trust no one anymore lol.
