How do you fix a broken marriage? Please pray for my marriage... Here's what I want to know :

Take two people who are at the point of no return, marriage feels like it can't be repaired. Can we rekindle the flame? Will we ever love each other like we did before - I'm talking about reach for the stars over the fence world series kinda stuff?
would obviously recommend professional help from licensed marriage counselors.

Its just it would depend on you being willing to put in the work.

I'm not really qualified to help. Although I guess things are getting better with me and lys.

i think most relationships fail because of unresolved resentments. do you have any unresolved resentments? do they?
LoveTriumphsOverHate · 36-40, M
@Penny There are many. And everytime my wife and I try to have a discussion it ends in an argument because we are both trying to say - "you've done me worse than I've done you."
LoveTriumphsOverHate · 36-40, M
@Penny There's no infidelity but there's a lot of hurtful and mean things we've said and done to each other.

@LoveTriumphsOverHate well, i figure if you actually love each other enough, the resentments will be easy to get past if you give each other a chance to express themselves about it and let each other know how it made them feel. suppressed feelings can cause violent anger. i think thats the hard part. actually recognizing what the uncomfortable or unnacceptable feeling was or is. and how it can tie in to old unresolved hurts from like childhood or stuff. if one or the other is not willing to do the work then they mustnt be mature enough to deal with the feelings or not care enough to want to learn and grow and try. in some cases it might be time to move on. idk. i personally am divorced and quite happy about it. but if you two would want to work things out and stay together then maybe its something you both need to work on.
I hope y’all can work it out. I don’t know anything about keeping a marriage happy but i would just say keep showing her that you care. 🙏

@SweetNSassy Give me some ideas? How can I show her that I care and that I think she's beautiful?
@LoveTriumphsOverHate send her random messages during your day that you are thinking of her and maybe get her favorite flowers and surprise her one night by cooking dinner, run her a bath it can be simple stuff. Just anything she likes show her you remember and really listen to what she has to say. You might get your feelings hurt but just do it anyways lol

Idk. My bf and I do the same shit to each other. And now I feel like I'm at the point of no return.
LoveTriumphsOverHate · 36-40, M
@SW-User ☹️ I'm sorry to hear that. I'll pray for you two. You both are great people and need to realize how lucky you are to have each other.

@LoveTriumphsOverHate thank you. But maybe we would be better off without each other.

You should get some counseling. If you have, and did not work out, I'm not sure SW can help. At least not with the brief message you provided.
How many of you actually want to rekindle the marriage and are prepared to work at it??? 🤔
Watch the movie Bulletproof and buy The Love Dare book. I dint know enough about your situation to say if it'll work, but worth a shot 🤷
@LoveTriumphsOverHate Hahahaha, Fireproof 🤦
LoveTriumphsOverHate · 36-40, M
@SomebodyThatYouUsedToKnow 🤣 Okay, yeah I've heard of Fireproof with Kirk Cameron. Never watched it but I've heard it was a great movie. I did watch War Room.
@LoveTriumphsOverHate Watch Fireproof and take notes. Don’t give up and good luck!

Communication is a big one ☝️

Patience is another.

Remembering the good times helps.
