I am not equipped to profile you but I can tell you how to seriously reduce your fruit fly population.
Buy a premade fruit fly trap - about $7 for two.
OR
In a can or bowl, put an inch or two of apple cider vinegar, add a drop or two of dish detergent and set it near a busy fruit fly runway.
Apple cider vinegar is crack to fruit flies and the detergent apparently weighs them down so they can't fly out.

@Crushedstrawberries Set these all over the place. They really do work - but you'll also have to identify what else is attracting fruit flies. A rotting apple in a desk drawer?

@Crushedstrawberries They are maddening and so needy. They need tp be touching you all the time.

@Mamapolo2016 yes it's so disgusting! I will be minding my own business and they will fly around me bothering me so I have tk get my windex spray them down then squish them to death...very satisfying
I'm not sure that there's anything in windex that would murder a fly, though??? 🤔
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@HootyTheNightOwl hmmm something in it affects the flies but I usually spray them down so they crawl then using a napkin or paper squish & kill them until theres blood...I have found sometimes when I just spray them multiple times they look dead but actually after a few hours, they dry up & live again🧟♀️🧟♂️
@Crushedstrawberries Yes, I was thinking that wet wings may prevent them from flying for a while, until they dry out then they can fly again.

Look fruit flies are fine, start worrying if you hit the weeties:)
assemblingaknob · 31-35, F
Once I sprayed an entire can of insect repellent on a thicc ass lizard until it died writhing.
So I'm not surprised that Windex works on fruit flies lol

@assemblingaknob wow really? Why? Was it bothering you? I like it lol, it helps me get better at working on my aim esp when they are flying in the air...once I got a bigger fly, smh that was fun 😂

@Crushedstrawberries yep. We had very small rooms at our university lodgings and my bed was right up against the wall on one side. There were too many lizards around because my room was on the ground floor and there were huge gardens in front of this wing. I've had sleepless nights there being scared of bugs and critters that entered my room that I couldn't find again after I blinked 🤭

as long as you kill them quickly you just protecting you home if you are pulling off appendages and giggling with glee then I would worry
Crushedstrawberries · 22-25, F
@texasdaddydom lol ew no none of that
