I've had the same problem. I've got a few close friends, meaning three, and that's it. I know a lot of people, but that doesn't mean they are friends. I don't try to run people off, but it happens.

Friends take a lot of work and energy.. their not always worth it for everyone. Some people just get comfortable being alone and not worrying so much about keeping other people happy.

Maybe it's not hate..it could be that they can't relate to u..ppl who listen to the beat of a different drummer are disadvantaged in finding friends, but don't despair, remain open and honest and self-loving.

is it that important about having friends.i havent got many friends if any to have a close talk or a coffee with or to share problems .i have loads of mates thou who i have drinks with in pubs and bars .
