Yes, that happened to me last year when I tried to enter a rigorous Cambridge program it took me 2 months and 11 appointments. I intervied 7 people hoping to learn as much as I could and was willing to die to get accecpted because it meant so much to me. When I was accepted I was heartbroken to learn how different evrything actually was, everyone was cruel and competitive, the advisor was extremely hateful and her judgement was biased and skewed. The other students constantly kissed up to her which to me was disappointing because it meant that the ratings they recieved for their work was not properly earned but was recieved only because she favored them. I don't believe in kissing up I wanted to work hard to recieve high ratings and approval but no matter how hard I tried I was never good enough, with everything I did there was always something wrong. Eventually I become someone to put blame on for everything that went wrong. I recently exited the program and now I'm feeling better.

Love is an act of decent Egoism..but Egoism it is.
So,when you love,you do things,out of your pleasure.
If love fails to render you happy or so you did your part,remember that.
But,NO! don't stay there to judge or ask what was good for them.
Love doesn't need to know about that
