There is no continuation of an 'i' from moment to moment in this life let alone a continuation after death.

hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
I don't believe in life after death. I believe in LIFE after life. What we call death is stepping through the door.
Not an afterlife, but a continuation of life.

Millions of near-death experience accounts tell essentially the same story.

I'm 50/50....If there isn't one, I won't know right?
If there is one...I try to lead a not-too-horrible life so that when I get there I can state my case!

I choose not to think about it too much. Whatever happens when I'm dead is out of my control.

Because i know...

Even scientists have determined that we are made of energy and energy can not be destroyed, it changes shape.
Yes, our energy will change form, but will our consciousness last beyond our physical death. Is our consciousness tied to our energy? @curiosi
curiosi · 61-69, F
@Native We are pure consciousness.
ImKelsey · 26-30, F
@curiosi Any hypothesis based on movement from point A to B is faulty. It is death.
MyPathOfTotality · 46-50, M
Yes I believe in the afterlife. There's many places in the Bible where it talks about this. Jesus himself even talks about reincarnation. They are thousands of documentations of people having near-death experiences and remembering their past lives. Even names and places and how they died.
Yeah, those stories are very interesting. It makes me wonder if experiencing dejavu is somehow related to a past life or an experience of your consciousness in a different form. @MyPathOfTotality
MyPathOfTotality · 46-50, M
@Native That is what that means. Also birthmarks is supposedly a sign of past life injuries. Another proof of this is that if you ever met someone and you're drawn to them and you don't know why. Souls recognize each other. That someone that you came in contact with in a past life.
The 'weeds' in our garden here do!

No state is existing permanently. So even nonexistence wont/doesn't last forever. If it did you wouldn't be here now.
Hmm, I’ve never considered that point. @Entwistle
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Native It's an interesting thought though isn't it.
Indeed. @Entwistle

Yes because it's the only way this life would make sense to me. 💕💙 I will never believe we are just born to die and that's it. I think we morph somehow like the caterpillar and butterfly.😌
ImKelsey · 26-30, F
Not the magical kind with spirits and/or paradise, but yes.
Do you mind explaining what you do believe it is? @ImKelsey
ImKelsey · 26-30, F
@Native I believe that nature provides us an eternal series of lifetimes: each different and worthwhile.
That wouldn’t be so bad. @ImKelsey

I believe in a conscience .... the afterlife could be how well I lived and listened to it
I want to believe, but the realist in me wonders how it's possible.
Ian123 · 61-69, M
Yes, I believe the soul exists when the body dies
afterlife is a state of mind
AT20rt · 22-25, M

What logic did you use to reach that conclusion? @RippinKlouds

Yes and no.

Yes because Ive dreamed and felt things and seen things.

No because its not logical.

Head vs heart I guess.
I’m doubtful. But the older I get and the more people I lose the more I hope I’m wrong. 😔
I hope you’re wrong too, for all our sakes. @bijouxbroussard
