As long as you understand that you are the supply side of this relationship...He owes you nothing.

@whowasthatmaskedman Well if I’m being tag-teamed I’m happy. He needs to have an alternate source of food since he doesn’t belong to me. If I need to move or whatever he’ll be cared for. He’s calmed down quite a bit since a year ago. He’d hiss and spit when I’d bring his food out to him each time and swipe at me with his claws quite a bit.

@cherokeepatti reminds me of a cat who moved in with us, he was in the garden next door trying to catch gtasshoppers, thanks for posting

It's nice to know that people are taking care of him :)

@SW-User Yes I was wanting someone else to step in because if I go on vacation or something and can’t take care of him someone else will. He used to show up on my doorstep early in the morning, in cold weather maybe by 10 or 11, now I do good to see him by 1 or 2 in the afternoon. I set a plate with roast scraps out there over an hour ago and it hasn’t been touched yet.

@cherokeepatti I love kind people ;)

Very unusual for cats or dogs to share food, they are generally food possessive, even the well fed ones.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@curiosi I took a plate of sardines out to the gray cat several days ago, he used to scarf them up and this time he looked around for his friend and stood back and waited.

@cherokeepatti He has a sweet disposition. I wonder if eventually he finds someone who can take him in.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@curiosi seems like he doesn’t want to be taken in, he was born wild and wants to stay that way.
I guess it's good that he knows he has choices for a meal and is willing to share the wealth.

That's so cute! This reminds me of when I used to feed a semi-feral cat myself. Do you have a picture of them?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Chickie I haven’t taken a photo of him.
