The Callouses I have from Walking Completely Barefoot for over 20 years are amazing, not to mention the Pitch Black ground in Black Dirt. I’m proud of my Pitch Black Thickly Calloused Barefeet!!

im with the others in thinking callouses would make feel harder

Common sense would predict decrease, because you'd develop more thick skin there. But I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't matter.
