I took a few hiatuses from EP, but when I heard it was closing down, I came back for the last few weeks, and yes, the last day. I remember sitting on the bench of my son’s baseball team eeking out a few last posts and comments before the switch was thrown off.

I saw an ad for this site. Checked it out right away and nothing seemed to be happening. Set up an account and completely forgot about it. Tried AnswerMug and HATED it. I was never a Q & A guru at EP anyway. Also tried R2T for the brief days that Janet allowed me to be on it. For doing nothing wrong but having a reputation at EP. Also did my own Google+ page and hooked up with a few old EP’ers ( @ToyMan and @callmecrazy come to mind)

They mentioned this place again, and six months later I checked it out and created another account (forgetting I already had one 😂) and even used the same avatar!!!! Been here ever since. Very grateful for SW and the connections I’ve reestablished

Yes I was there..I made some lifelong friends there, met my now husband there who is amazing. I joined R2T but didn't enjoy it at all, tried it for a day and never logged in again then joined here at the start..

I truly believe that EP saved my life or at least my sanity. I found it when I was trapped in an abusive and unhappy marriage. It was my escape and I met some wonderful friends. Sadly lost touch with some but I am still in touch with a couple of people.
I've not met anyone here on SW that I feel I can open up with, but maybe that's because I don't need online relationships as much as I did.
I deleted my EP profile just before they closed down.

The community there was very diverse, with a much higher percentage of people interested in meaningful interaction. There was a much larger population as well if I looked into separate days I would see hundreds of unfamiliar names. Here, we're a little more intimate.
A much lower percent, of catfish and scammers. However, that was one of the factors I think that closed it, as the scammers and dick heads started to taking over.

Yea I was there up to the very last moment on the very last day... we all messaged as much as we could in those last few hours, I began to believe that it was all a lie, that it wouldn't close.. but it did, suddenly.. it was gone. SO sad, it felt like family at the very end.
I tried R2T and a couple of others...

So many people that you could easily find whomever you wanted to interact with

r2t and vent because a few friends went there, neither were really for me. Came here after one of my closest friends suggested it.

It was great when I first joined. I loved the greeting card feature, I sent so many at the holidays. There was always someone to talk to, and new friends to discover. Sadly, it was going downhill at the end, with more and more pervs and trolls appearing.

I was there maybe two years before it closed, I remember the scammers, I remember my friends, I remember the adult nursers ( what happened to them ? ) I remember poor old bin bag man

EP was great,, and I came here after the site shut down, I have many new friends, but I miss some of the old ones.. EP was fun and a little more broad about subjects and although EP censored half the stuff people wrote it was still worth reading.. I do miss it in a way...

I made 2 very nice ladies on EP.
I migrated to R2T and Answermug before SW (I'm still on the Mug)

It became a perv magnet and I believe the management of EP was seeking out pervs by going around speaking at various places.

I didn't try any other sites before finding this one. I made a couple of great friends on there who helped me through difficult situations in my life. I miss one of them a lot. He always was there for me when I needed someone. I hope to maybe find him on here someday. I have just started to explore SW, but I was on EP often.....hoping to find another group of open minded people.
