It was very lovely. I watched it twice.

It's not sci-fi. It's also weak in certain aspects (relationship development between main-character and romantic-fish). Didn't do justice to their growth together and feels missing, thus a suspension of disbelief required (and a deliberate application is required, at least for me and some others).

The visuals and villain are awesome.
