I don't look down on people who have surgery like that. But I don't understand why people have it when there isn't actually a medical need

No, I mostly pity them for whatever reason they need to have one. Especially when they live in a society in which they are basically pushed into doing something like that.
Also, I sometimes have a problem to recognize the person from the distance because subconsciously I still expect to see their appearance from the times when I met them for the fist time. This image can't be erased from my memory.

To each their own but honestly I feel like learning to accept and embrace flaws is the better option.😅

No different than any other body modification.

Not exactly look down, just don't get it...mostly because the end result isn't what is in their heads apparently...

@Mayumi I get that, I just wonder if the insecurity with your nose, if you get it done, won't change to some other insecurity. Not saying it will, but is it your nose, or a bigger issue? I don't know, and it sure is not any of my business, but those are the questions that come to mind when I see anyone, especially a pretty young woman, wanting to change their appearance.

SW-User
No but I'd never encourage someone to go under the knife to remedy a problem that only exists in their mind.
Don't care.

I don't look down on them. Aside from those who do it because of a disfiguring accident/injury, I do wonder why?

not at all everyone has their own reasons. can't say that I have never considered having some work done.
Diyanne · F
No...I never want to do that...we dont know their problem or their reason to do the plastic surgery...
Northwest · M
People have their reasons. I am not going to judge, those who do not judge.
AngelKrish · 26-30, M
NAaa..it depends on person choice...but I just plastic surgery can't make any person beautiful!
LAlexV · M
Nope. We all have our insecurities and cope with them in our own ways. Who am I to judge.
revenant · F
nope. It is their body which they want to transform whether it was an accident or not.

Their choice.

I don't care. It's their bodies and they can't do what they want but if they're getting plastic surgery at least look good.
Justenjoyit · 61-69, M
If it is needed for a deformity then why not or you are getting depressed over it then why not
BlackBlossom · F
if anyone had an accident and looses half their face its perfectly ok... but people who are just fat or dont like how body part xy looks like have a problem
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
I know a 71 year old woman who constantly gets facelifts and boob jobs and has the body of a 25 year old. She looks ridiculous because her face doesn’t move and it’s obvious she gets work done. Her mouth looks stupid. Lips stay still and she can’t smile.
