No one on this website will benefit unless they make as much as Trump himself.

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Those earning $750,000 a year up.
The tax 'plan' is the biggest joke in modern day economic politics worldwide.
The entire thing consisting of two paragraphs and ten bullet points !

Still so clueless they think that if you offer the richest (which, incidentally, they're also calling the 'Job Creators')the biggest possible tax cut, that in turn leads the richest to create more jobs.........NO evidence exists that proves this to be the case !
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Mandalorian Well, when times are tight, you expect tax rises. It's the only way governments can afford to look after the elderly; infirm and unemployed.
The fact that they completely ignored this social group is probably testament to the thinking that 'those who drain resources' have little to 'contribute' so are not 'worth' thinking about right now.
Which i guess is fine.....provided you can see an upturn in the economy in the immediate future and so make that group inclusive again.
But there's nothing in the data i've seen that would indicate there is likely to be any logical reason for an upturn. Certainly anytime soon.
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
@Mandalorian It is exactly that: social engineering. Trump got so many votes by hacking the electorate's brains, playing puppet master. By using specific types of verbal imagery and using specific phrases, he instilled a sense of direction and productivity into much of the electorate's minds. "We're going to build a wall, a huge wall." "Look at all the crowds." "ISIS are chopping off heads and putting people in cages." Those types of visual ques get locked into peoples' brains.

He's a master manipulator.
@Tatsumi Too bad when everyone finds out what he is really all about...

I will have more money. Whether or not that will actually benefit me is something only the future can say. If people don't spend the extra money they will have, it won't boost the economy [though, even though it's stated that tax cuts do boost the economy, there's no real proof that it does to any significant degree, based on previous tax cuts], then:

If it increases the national deficit by 10 trillion dollars, as presumed by the conservative leaning National Tax Association, and our debt holders increase our interest rates due to a lack of faith that we'll be able to pay off our national debt, and we go into an economic meltdown due to the interest blackhole. Well. That's not going to benefit me very much.

Assuming it does boost the economy perfectly as planned, it'll cost 2 trillion dollars.

And, it depends on what the government will cut, if they do try to cut enough to make up for the $2,000,000,000,000- $10,000,000,000,000 they're giving away. If they cut food stamps and a bunch of other shit that helps the poor, well, crime and violence is going to increase. So, I could be shot or stabbed, in a vastly increased crime rate.

Basically, who the fuck knows. I hope it will. But I'm expecting the worst, so all that extra money is going into savings and investment. But, I expect more of the same from this administration. Jerking off the rich and stomping on the working class, as they've done so far passing like 20 bills aimed at destroying worker protections and fucking unions in the ass.

I expect this to hurt me, in the long run.
Yes...when this whole thing goes up in flames, and I'm sure it will, it will have an impact on fence sitters here at the next Federal Election
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
I think that is hard to say, it looks like I will at least in the short run get a few more dollars but in the long run it is going to cost us more than we are paying so I get the debt or my portion of what ever it is and that can't be good.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@Subsumedpat you will pay a higher tax rate than donald and paul. Period.

Remember that.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
@JaggedLittlePill That was not the question, I don't know what their tax rate is but after looking at what this does to the standard deduction mine should drop about 3%. But my rate is said to be a temporary reduction dependent on what a future congress does. It has also said it will add a trillion dollars to the debt.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Nothing is stopping you liberals from sending in more money
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Everyone will
SW-User
I will directly myself. But I believe most will indirectly too.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@SW-User What have sirens got to do with it?
SW-User
@Dlrannie sorry, "*and spend more on new products" is what I meant.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@SW-User slip ups happen to the best of us - lol
Deadcutie · 18-21, F
I have no idea, we have accountants that figure it all out, I only usualy know how much the end result is...
Everyone who is not part of the gov/on gov subsidies will.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@supercalifragilisticexpialidoc you do realize they gave money to themselves while not renewing healthcare for needy children right? People on subsidies wont benefit either. They will become poorer.
@JaggedLittlePill exactly.....everyone who is not on gov subsidies will get more, if you are getting money from the gov you will get less....if you are supporting yourself you will get more. i never said people on subsidies wil benifit in fact i think my comment is pretty straightforward saying they wont....
Xuan12 · 36-40, M
I don't know, from what I've seen it's a wash for me. I'll be about the same.
SteelHands · 61-69, M
I was looking at appliestome, where my deleted account has been mysteriously reactivated and discovered I once asked 'is this a good day to put a ferret down the Donalds trousers?'
still a horrible place!
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
Probably in terms of $. I have a decent portfolio. But I’d rather pay more and give poor kids access to healthcare and improve our shitty infrastructure. We are the laughingstock of the Western world in so many ways right now.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@luckranger71 well we were until Obama left
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@MasterLee mmmkay bro. 👌
For two years as an anesthesia.
The Republicans are ruthless though.
They are going to strangle barehanded all entitlement programs and it will get very ugly. Curse trump.
@MasterLee I served 22 Navy.
What was your service?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@MasterLee
Too slow in advancement for me.
