Lol you mean do something productive when you're dead tired at 2 am after trying to fall asleep for 2 hours, and you are already exhausted from months of lack of sleep? You're funny

Some do. However, utilizing the extra time could be even more draining. That could cause a nervous breakdown.

Because you’re still tired, and likely stressed from having insomnia, and not feeling very productive.

They probably feel that if they were to do something, it would merely highlight the fact that they can't sleep, so it would add to their frustration.

@SW-User very good point! Most of us who've suffered with insomnia don't get up and get involved with anything because that would keep us awake...we lie there trying to sleep

@Fernie Thank you.

Just because a person can't sleep doesn't mean they aren't exhausted physically and mentally...doesn't mean they are full of energy and could go out dancing. Clearly you don't understand insomnia beyond no sleep

SW-User
Because they are overwrought and overtired - it's not simply a case they need less sleep

I do and I don't hate it that much but it's kinda hard, too. because it keeps your mind widely awake of your unwanted thoughts.
