I don’t know... I’ve debated all of this stuff in my head for awhile now. Part of me says it’s wrong, but then I think about my fantasies and fetishes and would I like to be told that I’m wrong because I like something. I came to the conclusion that maybe it isn’t wrong, but it is when you shovel it down society’s throat! I don’t push any of my kinks on society. I think that’s where the line is.

No, it's a natural variation of human sexuality. The phenomenon of transpeople and genders besides just male and female stretches back thousands of years and in many culures. It's not a disorder, because it doesn't impede someone to function normally in society, their work or their personal lives.

Everyone has disorders. Someone's transexualism is no different than my fixation with lipstick lesbians. A bottle, a bible, a pill, a gun, there's something for everyone to get a little hung up on.

There is a disorder from this but not in and of itself. That of which I speak comes to light when it divides the masses. Abortion, transgender, gay rights ring a bell? Think of all the energies used to assert one view over another, and imagine putting that much effort into unity instead of divisive thinking. What do you suppose would happen then?

Sometime in the previous century, it was considered a disorder (due to our social constructs). The language of human psychology has changed since. I don't consider that to be a disorder.

I don't know. I doubt it. But there are some who claim to be Trans that definitely have a disorder of a different kind.

People will call anything that's not their ideal behavior in someone a mental disorder. I think mental illnesses receive way too much credit these days.

Sure, but it's not harmful to me. I think it gets way too much attention. I don't know a single person who claims to be trans.

No. Because I trust science and those who are educated in the human psych that have proven this not to be a mental disorder.

That's actually a difficult question. I believe the feeling is genetically defined, but I'm not responsible for deciding whether a genetic aspect is a personal feature or a disorder and such a decision by experts has always made me wonder about their reasons.
