Unless you are a British spy in Her Majesty's Secret Service, or an asset thereof, employed on the same mission, Bond couldn't talk to you about whatever he was doing. And he wouldn't be able to relate to much except his work. Bond enjoys his work, and takes pride in being very good at it, but he is therefore socially isolated, and somewhat alienated from regular people.
