Stinging is your damaged nerves. It's not a sign of a problem aside from the cut itself. Do usual first aid like antibiotic cream / bandaid. Try to avoid rubbing it or causing it to reopen.

I used to do it on my entire left arm and it didn't sting 24/7 but it did sting whenever my sleeves rubbed on it.. also when I showered.

I have been in my room, so I decided I would keep my clothes from rubbing on it, so nothing has been touching it.

Make sure you've got disinfectant on it and the cut is kept dry and covered. That's the best you can hope for.

Let them soak in warm water. Take a bath. That should help.

@QueenOfHeartz: in my experience soaking it delays healing and delayed healing leads to scarring.. especially if you disturb scabs it'll cause a scar
